Kenda,
I just wanted to write you and let you know how the horses are doing in Michigan.  It's been a year now since I decided to send them to you, so you could ride and train them for mounted shooting.  After picking up Rocky this June, I got to Michigan and immediately began riding him.  About one month later, after competing with him here in the midwest, I won the men's level one at the Michigan State Championship!  Two weeks ago I came out to Montana and picked up my other horse, Cisko.  My first competititve experience with him was at the Montana State shoot in Bozeman.  Although I could not hold onto first, second or even third.  I was extremely happy with his performance.  One of the things you commented to me at that time, was that "things would come together, just give it time."   On my way back to Michigan, I attended three State Championships: Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, all having around 65 shooters.  I took second place the first day at the Wisconsin State Championship, then first place on day two and three at the Minnesota and Iowa State shoots.  To say that I was excited would be a huge understatement.  Cisko and I came together so well and it was such fun, that I can hardly put into words how excited I was.  Not only did I win my class,  I was 7th overall!   You did such a great job with those two horses Kenda.  In the horse world where there aren't many knowns, you are the exception.  You were always ethical and upfront about dealing with them.  I always appreciated your good communication skills as well.  Now that I have gotten a little time under saddle on these guys, I hope to continue well on them.  I owe a lot of that to you.  Thank you again.  Neal

Hey,  I was so excited after seeing Rockster take you through those patterns, that it made me want to sign up to go to the shoot in December.  It also made me miss riding him of course. He looked really good, nice weather, plenty of food, lots of exercise, what more could a horse want?  I'm really glad you're riding him a lot.  He really needs that.  I'm glad he's got a full time job now.

I'm really encouraged about Rocky.  I know I keep saying that, but I really am.   I was hoping he would work out for doing this, because he's so nice in many other aspects. thanks,  Neal

Hey there,  I just had the best time riding Rocky and talking with you. I want to think I'm progressing at this sport and can be successful at it someday.

I felt better about that after spending a couple of days
there in Ellensburg with you and Rocky.  I appreciate your positivenessand encouragement.  Thank you very much for dinner and working with me during those cruddy weather days.

Thanks again for your assistance.  Rocky is in great hands.   Give Rockster an apple from me this week.  Thanks again Kenda.   Neal

Kenda,
Thanks for the video, looks like he’s doing great.  I’m so glad he’s got such a good rider working with him.  It looks like Rocky is making lots of progress!

Thanks for letting me know about Rocky.  I've been wondering about him lately and how's he doing.  Thank you for being so professional about all this horse stuff!
